Well done Don. Rotten is a fact of life and the birds know exactly where to go when it happens.  Within the forests a fallen tree or branch makes a wonderful host for lichens, ferns and a home for a whole lot of tiny living creatures. I used to love finding them during my wanderings as a child.  [smile] Robyn

Great work Don.  I remember a few years ago we went for a drive in the country and I great big rotten tree crashed down on the road right in front of us.  Good thing we were going slowly at the time admiring the scenery.
I like what you have done here.
