very nice, but what is surrounding the robin. It looks like a hollowed out apple, it looks good, i just cant figure it out.

thanks glad it sort of  looks like an apple cos thats what it's meant to be ..originally i had the apple more complete as below but opted to make it just a ring left to show the robin up better Robin 2.jpg

Dave, I like this a lot. I have quite a few apple trees and even more robins so I knew what I was seeing. I have been working on a pic of a robin for a few days coincidently. If it goes well, I'll post it soon.

This is just the sweetest thing I've seen in a while Dave. Adorable!  He does show up better in the top pic. I love it and also love your use of the chalk, and your foliage always looks great.  [smile]  Robyn

This is adorable Dave.  I love the way he chose an apple ring to decorate his nest and also something to nibble on when the weather is not so good.  Beautiful all round and a very happy painting.
