I like it. Reminds me of Trader Vic's Polynesian Restaurant.

Vivienne, Trader Vic's has almost gone away. I think just a couple left in the US on the east coast. There used to be many. I've been to a couple. There was one in downtown Seattle that I liked. Good South Pacific menu and famous for their islander drinks. Lots of fruit juice and rum. Rumor says they invented the Mai Tai. It was always kinda dark and cozy.

Thanks for filling me in on Trader Vics Bob. My son, wife and 2 granddaughters are living at Raratonga Cook Islands now and I have had some islander food but not tried the MaiTain or even know if they make it. Love most of the islander food.

Thanks for the warning Bob.  I actually don't drink alcohol except maybe a thimbleful of cream sherry once  every five or six weeks.

Very nice Viv. I immediately thought of Africa and also totem poles. [smile] Rob
