A group of Mountaineers from Pune, India shall carry "Mangesh Deshpande" to the top of the world.
On Sunday, I presented a copy of my digital painting to expedition members on a farewell function.
One of the items on agenda of Pune Everest expedition is Tribute to Mangesh (who passed away in a climbing accident in Sikkim Himalayas.)
The painting made waves around the world.. It has been on the pixarra main site rollup. And I recieveda free license.
Thought, I should share this news with my Pixarra Buddies.
The expedition details @ http://www.puneeverest2012.org/
Cheers!

Wonderful tributes going out to your friend, Parag. I am sure his spirit soars like the bird in flight, like a photo I have seen that you posted on another site. I think it is wonderful that you painting made its way around the world as it is a special tribute give from the heart.

The Expedition was a success. 8 of 10 climbers went to top on saturday 19 May!
2 had faulty Masks and unfortunately had to come back. They are going to give another try this week.
The team is safe.
Regards,
Parag

There are around 32 teams this month. High cold winds blew on the mountain on Monday.
It claimed a woman from Toronto. (8th Death in one season). 4 other deaths reported.
Weather had been fine two days ago, when maximum people reached the summit. 73 Year old Japanese woman broke the World record I guess.

Parag
