    Hi Rob,

Just love this lady - she definitely has attitude. A Frank Sinatra version of "I did it my way". However I think she is saying "I DO IT MY WAY[". Yay!!!

    Hi Dave,

Just really lovely and effective. It is amazing what can be achieved with layer effects on a number of different composition layers - for me it is all good fun to experiment with as I am sure it is with you.
    Love the result,

  • Blue Reader
    Hi Ralph,

Enjoyed seeing this one - might be all in blue but looks a whole lot more cheerful and relaxing. Nothing like sitting with a good book to keep one company. One of my favourite pastimes - reading. Hope you are having more of these serene moments too.

  • A friend in need... and a friend in deed
    Hi Rob,
Great story attached to your lovely painting of two everlasting friends. I am lucky enough to still be in touch with my old school friends - even though we live in different places. When we meet , even though several years may have passed by, it is as though it was only yesterday. A lovely feeling to have.

  • WHERE HAS THAT NAVIGATOR FOT US TOO THIS TIME
Hello There Don, Rob, Bob, Ralph, Vivienne and Rita,

From all your comments I will have to change my mind re a place for lunch. We will all have to meet up and have it together. Now that's an idea - maybe meet up on the equator, as it's the more or less halfway point. What fun.
All joking aside - thanks for all your lovely comments - they are always appreciated.

    Hi Ralph,
Can't remember what DPI I use. Simplest method I know is to first flatten the layers - then go to 3rd heading along the top on left of TBPro "Page" On drop down menu click on Set Page Size - Click on 800x600px Twisted Brush on top of list. Then Click on Box Resize image to fit new page size. Click OK and "Bob's your uncle" it's done. Ready for you to save to file then drag into comment box.
Is that all clear as mud - actually it is quite simple.
I work on a full large screen size - but my guess is your working space is larger still - but think it should still work OK. Good luck.

  • new Painting
    Hi Ralph,

I simply resize the picture to 800x600 (that size seems to work well) and use Bob's method of having two side by side and simply dragging into comment box. Took me a while too to get it right. Looks like you've got it though!!! You do, in this portrait, look like you have all the cares of the world on your shoulders - hope this is not the case.

    Hi Ralph,

Fantastic to see your work - and you with self portrait. Small or not fantastic. You do indeed live in interesting times as o we all. See you still have your winter beard - or is that fresh one grown for coming winter? So happy to see and hear from you again my friend. Stay with us.

  • The Goat
    Hi Bob,

Your goat reminds me of one who used to come visiting when we lived in a country area. He would walk bold as brass in to my kitchen through the back door. The look on your goat's face (eyes) is the same as this one when I simply grabbed it by the horns and led it back home to his place again.
    Well done.

  • Flight School ???
Where is that school - I have always wanted to ride on a broomstick!!! A magic carpet would be good too. Still giggling.

    Hi Jamieson,

Excellent - not the usual still life and all the better for the choice of subject. Good to see you back.

    Hi Bob,

Now this is an interesting one. It does look a bit precarious sitting up there - but in my mind that adds to the scene. I really like it

  • A Dieter's Dilemma
    Hi Rob.

I grew up with my Mother going on all sorts of really Yummy diets - "starting on Monday". The weekend before she would gather together a small basket of dried fruits and nuts which she loved but were not allowed on her high protein diets. So diets ring a bell for me. My husband was tall slim and never overweight. - Boy did I envy him. However, I am not too bad - fortunately I do not really like sweet stuff - my downfall is nuts - cashew nuts. Did not realise lollies (on thinking yes - USA Candies) was a particularly N.Z. term. Fortunately I don't like Coca Cola and fizzy drinks too sweet for me.
Incidentally my Mother would frequently lose several pounds but put them on again. She was only 5ft tall and in my eyes not all that overweight.
To get back to your subject - great looking lady with great longing expression in her eyes. Always good to hear the stories behind your characters.
