At the present, it is not possible to use two images within the same filter. While it is possible to use the mask layer to get a second black&white image into a filter, this is far from ideal. And I wondered, if the Clip Fill filter can grab an image from the clipboard could we not have something like:- paint_clipboard from/to_layer ?....And, to go with that, the ability to right-click on any layer or clip to copy it to the clipboard.

Hi Bishka,

It's not clear to me what you need to do here.

I assume you have been looking at the Lua paint APIs here: http://help.pixarra.com/m/LuaFilters/l/40404-twistedbrush-lua-filter-paint-apis

There are both layer and buffer commands in there for use with the "paint" commands.

If you are doing direct image filtering then you will be bit more limited. Where direct imaging filtering I mean using the pixel access commands and filtering the image yourself in Lua.

Marking this as resolved unless I hear the solution provided is different than what was requested.

Thanks,
