Ages and ages ago, someone asked if we could have layer grouping. Such that anything one did to a single layer, one could do to a group of layers. I can not remember why this never happened, but it didn't.

If it is not possible for some reason, could we at least have the ability to colour code different layers to make it easier to keep track of them?  See image.

The reason for asking is that I work with layers a lot. For example:The Girl In Black And White used over twenty layers and The Girl With Golden Hair just under twenty layers to make the the basic portrait without the back ground or any   modifying/ correction layers.

Bishka.

P.S. Any chance of a Properties window for each layer where one can type notes and/or descriptions?

Hi Bishka,

Highlighting layers with color is a good idea.

Surov

Clarification: with the ability to choose the color of the Windows system.

Yes I recall the request to group layers. Color coding layers is a much easier solution. I will give this consideration. Thanks for the suggestion!

That is a great suggestion Bishka! I know we can name the layers but in today's world we use signs many times instead of words. [thumb] Robyn

Layer coloring (grouping) will be in v24. This is only a visible grouping.
