Nice. Pretty cool monochrome. The textures define the forms.

You asre a master with textures Don.  I love all those crags and the play with light on them and on the tree. Very nice work.  I'm not always a fan of b/w pictures but this is really nice to look at.  [smile] Robyn
PS  what is monochrome, a brush? I don't like to look too dumb  [nono] [biggrin]

Thanks Robyn I don't know about a master but thank you. A master in copper sculptures yes. Monochrome is a image made in varying tones of only one color or black & white varying tones. Dumb would be not asking when we don't know.

So it's what people usually call b/w, but monochrome is more accurate in this case. as there is no real/stark white. Just my analytical brain ticking over... Thanks a lot Don.  I will now have to look up the word chrome to see the broader meaning  [smile]

Interesting!  copied from a google search list.
chrome
Chrome is a very shiny layer of metallic coating that's applied to a metal surface. ... The word chrome comes from the element chromium, which is rooted in the Greek khroma, "color."
So you have a dual fulfillment here as you used the grey colour of metal as well as having the one colour.  [smile]

Rob, the word monochrome sources back to the original and means single color.[smile]

Thanks Bob,  it was the chrome bit that was a puzzle to me and the chrome part comes from this greek word Khroma which means colour. Very interesting.

Puzzle completed with only a few pieces...  [crazy]  Rob [smile]
