I used a photo reference for these, as I wanted to be fairly accurate, I took my time slowly building up the paint (pro-Oil ) I used a lot of settings, and only one layer it became like working on a Zen garden 
I worked on the painting when I could not sleep, and wanted to distract myself, and also at other times when I felt good. The colors may reflect my mood I guess.
Thank to all of you who took the time to wish me well in my fight with Barrettes' esophagus which has caused me a lot of discomfort in the last months. I am slowly feeling better, and the symptoms are getting under control slowly, I'm working with my doctor to get the right balance of medication. I really don't want the surgery unless things get really out of hand.
Hopefully I will be back on TB more often, I do pop in a lot, and look at the great art, and I will try to comment more often....
