Ken: How is this different from your support site (the one I never liked)? I figure there is a difference, but I do not have the courage or conviction to go back there again and do the detailed analysis and comparison that would allow me to confidently arrive at a logical conclusion. Also, due to the limited data here (new Site) a statistically valid conclusion could not be made. :)

support.pixarra.com uses the software by Freshdesk which is a support desk oriented solution with a forum tacked on.

forum.pixarra.com uses the software by plushforum which is focused only on forum software and therefore is completely designed around the idea of have a lively, interactive community.

In one of the posted on the forum tied to support.pixarra.com I listed some of the features here in this forum that were missing.

Ken you missed my point completely. Your response was to post links to all the sites you already know I have visited and reviewed. Are you now a Kenbot?
Really ... if I have a problem I am going to post it here. So please tell me, as I asked before, what now is the purpose of the other Support Site. Are they linked? That would make sense then, Obviously, when I ask for help here you maybe send me an e-mail that says "stillgolfing, your Support question has been transferred to our Support Site, please follow this link to get updates on the resolution of your problem."

Hope this clarifies my original question.
    Cheers, stillgolfing

Yes I missed the point of your question / comment initially. I thought you were trying to understand why this forum here is better than the forum features at support.pixarra.com.

support.pixarra.com is a support desk where a ticket can be opened and tracked. This is a one to one dialog between the custom and Pixarra. Typical use would be to help a customer solve a problem such as a license issue or installation issue.

forum.pixarra.com is a community for users of Pixarra software. Typical use would be to share ideas, usage and art work with other users. Asking for help here in the forum is good if it's general in nature and its likely that other users could help.

The two sites are not linked in any way.

    Hope that helps

So if I post a problem here are you going to solve it here or is your reply going to include a bunch of links so you are off the hook and I I have to dance my way to through the usual internet maze of horseshit?

If the issue is solved elsewhere, that I am aware of, as always I will post a link.

So. to reiterate I can always post here with a problem and don't ever have to deal with that other piece of sh*t?

You can also email if there is a support issue that is not suitable for a public forum.
